KFC FRANCE STUNS McDONALD’S BY HACKING A VIRAL VIDEO WITH HILARIOUS REINTERPRETATION

This viral social media stunt took place as part of the collaboration between KFC France and Burger King with the launch of the "BFF Burger" – a unique, co-branded burger. 

KFC France ingeniously twisted the most viral social video of the year: 'Montoya Por Favor.' This moment, from the Spanish show 'La Isla de las Tentaciones,' features a contestant overreacting upon discovering that his girlfriend is cheating on him. 

Without spending a single euro, the tenders love brand rewrote the story to create a hilarious drama around our three characters: KFC, Burger King, and poor McDonald's. 

Havas Paris has once again demonstrated its creative fearlessness by executing a groundbreaking social hacking campaign, generating unprecedented buzz for KFC France. The campaign’s success was nothing short of extraordinary: 

  • 20 million+ impressions without any paid media investment
  • +13% growth on turnover
  • +4% growth of transaction
